Repairing, sharing and eating together!

Are you a sustainability guru or passionate cook/caterer/foodie living in the Unley area? We need you!

Unley Repair Café has secured $30,000 through the City of Unley Community Impacts Grants program. This will enable the delivery of sustainability workshops in partnership with local foodie folks at their monthly sessions over the next 3 years. Five workshops per year will also be delivered within the monthly repair cafe sessions, around themes that align with the Unley Repair Café ethos of sustainability, repairing and community.

‘We know food is a key part of bringing people together, so we’re really keen to share around the opportunity to provide food for our sessions’, said Repair Café coordinators Rose Dunne and Ruby Wake. ‘We’d love local folks to put their hand up to deliver a one-off session – even if it might be a bit out of the box. It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to share your knowledge – and connect with other local legends while doing it!’

If you would like to deliver a (paid) workshop at Unley Repair Cafe, or you are a local foodie who is interested in catering the monthly sessions (also paid), or you know someone who might suit these opportunities, please get in touch at repaircafe@sustainablecommunitiessa.org.au.

Unley Repair Café runs from 9:30am – 12:30pm on the last Saturday of every month at Clarence Park Community Centre in Black Forest. Established in 2018, it is the longest-running repair café in SA. There are now eight others across metropolitan Adelaide.
