Wild about food

On 26 September 2013, the City of Campbelltown‘s Sustainability Officer, Ann Sharley, held a meeting called Wild about food. Sustainable Communities SA members Kate Chadwick and Monica O’Wheel were invited to speak about Essential Edibles and One Planet Market. There were other presentations about Croydon Swap and Share and Botanic Gardens Kitchen Garden Project that assists groups to set up community gardens.
The large group of about 30 people broke up into groups to talk about setting up a swap and share and a community garden in the Campbelltown area and to encourage verge gardens. Enthusiasm, ideas contacts and plans were freely shared.
