Resource Rhymes

Resource Rhymes was a 2018-2019 school competition to create songs, raps or poems about better resource use in South Australia. The competition is now concluded.

The project, auspiced by Sustainable Communities SA,  engaged primary students in creating fun and impactful rhymes that consider resources: conservation, maximisation, processing, conscious use and/or recycling. Rhyme creation encourages investigative research, teamwork, creative expression, advocacy, strengthened communication, contextual thinking and community engagement.

The project was run in primary schools in the Cities of Holdfast Bay, Marion & Onkaparinga.

The outcomes of the students’ work, including the winners, can be seen on the Resource Rhymes YouTube channel.
