The BBC has published an elegant chart showing how much of various resource stocks remains and the timeline for their depletion. Ranging from fossil fuels to the minerals that are used to produce everything from fertilizer and mobile phones to drugs and batteries, it is a reality check about our collective demand for resources. The BBC “Stock Check” of the estimated remaining world supplies of non-renewable resources demonstrates how important are our efforts towards “closed-loop” use of resources.
