One Planet Market
A new initiative of Sustainable Communities SA is the One Planet Market, a monthly local market that will be held at Payneham Community Centre. Our first market will be held on Saturday 19 February 2011 from 9am – 12.30pm.
We encourage people to come along to sell, buy or exchange. There will be

- Local native plants – free
- Local produce
- Urban Orchard – swap and share
- Information table
- LETS members stalls
- Children’s toys to swap
- FreeCycle
- Local artists
Our aims in holding the markets are to encourage local production and local economy; and foster community relationships, resilience and self-reliance.
The East Torrens Messenger 16 Feb issue has given us some good publicity – please spread the word amongst friends and neighbours to make the first market a great success!
