Placing global change on the Australian election agenda
by Ray Mylius
Politicians and all the rest of us need reliable and authoritative information about the risks and potential solutions for the grave challenges we face.
Placing Global Change on the Australian Election Agenda, a booklet of essays by a number of Australia’s leading scientists has just been published by the independent non-profit body Australia 21 to stimulate constructive discussion on climate change, resource scarcity, human health, the global financial emergency and other vital issues that are being largely ignored (to quote the book sub-title). The book also includes questions for voters, and for us to put to political candidates.
