Saving money and energy on a hot day
Ann is one of our members who feels the heat badly. However she says she has reduced her electricity bill a great deal by setting her airconditioner at 27 degrees – raising it by two degrees from her previous settings. Ann is encouraging us to speak to our favourite cinema, shop or library to do the same and we will also reduce the energy used to get through the hot days. So take what steps you can to reduce the energy used to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. There are changes we can all make as we adapt to climate change. Join in this ‘two degrees’ action.
