Soft plastic recycling project to stop

We are disappointed to announce that from Wednesday 16 December the collection of soft plastic for recycling by Sustainable Communities will stop. We have delivered 12 cubic metres of soft plastic to Advanced Plastic Recycling which has been added to other plastic waste for the production of recycled plastic products. Now the conversion of plastic waste into granules will be done by another company with Advanced Plastic Recycling increasing their output of recycled plastic products. We thank all of you who have participated in the project. Please put your soft plastic into the bins at the supermarkets and we will continue to try and keep plastic out of landfill. We all want to Save our Planet.
