Description of the role: One Planet Market Swap and Share Urban Orchard stall invites people to bring their garden produce and share it with the local community. 

The aim of the stall is to reduce food miles and food waste and also promote social networking. Place where locals are able to have a chat over a cuppa from our Coffee and Tea Station and share their produce.

We’re looking for a person who would help to set up our monthly Swap and Share stall and facilitate it during the market.

The Swap and Share volunteer would make relationships with the swappers and grow the stall selection by connecting with the local community and encouraging them to bring their excess garden produce to share with the neighbours.

The Swap and Share stall is open to locals to share their extra homegrown garden produce.  Things to share include fruit & vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, seeds, cuttings, seedlings, preserves, jams, relishes, and homemade baked goods.

Time and place: 8:45 am – 12:15 pm on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Payneham Community Centre, 374 Payneham Road, Payneham 5070
