One Planet Market: Over a Decade of Local Sustainability

For over a decade, One Planet Market (OPM) has been a hub for local sustainability.

Held on the third Saturday of each month, it brings together makers, fixers, growers, community members, and visitors from Adelaide and beyond.

The market has much to offer such as seasonal produce, native plants, homemade preserves, and upcycled goods.

Local stallholders – including new and emerging – have always been welcome. It’s a friendly, low-cost space to share creations.

Beyond shopping, each month features a free workshop covering anything from identifying clothing materials to reducing waste through thoughtful cooking. Meanwhile, the buzzing Repair Café brings broken items to life, thanks to the generous support of volunteers. Coupled with live music and morning tea, it all makes for a truly wonderful morning out.

Visitors often say the best part is the people, those spontaneous chats at the swap and share table, the tips shared over a cup of coffee, and the sense of belonging that comes from being part of this close-knit community.

One Planet Market isn’t just a place to buy and sell – it’s a place to connect, create and celebrate.

There are just two more market days left in 2025 – November 15 and December 20. The market will kick off again in 2026 – same place, still full of surprises, and always worth a wander.
